Alert: We Have an Update to the Competition Schedule!!!

COMPETITION OBJECTIVES

• Encourage designers to become involved in green building initiatives
• Encourage the reduction of the dependence on fossil fuels within the building industry
• Promote exemplary designs and products
• Recognize and award dedication, creativity, innovation, and commitment to sustainable design

EVALUATION CRITERIA

• Maximum utilization of Hebel AAC product line (75 points)
• Innovation/Creativity of Design (25 points)
• Quality of Design/ Aesthetics (25 points)
• Feasibility/ Realistic Solution (25 points)
• Discretionary points (25 points)

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

At a minimum, the Hebel Green Home Contest submissions should include:

1. Use of Hebel AAC as the structural building material for a house design with up to 2,500 sq. ft. of conditioned space.
2. Working drawings or conceptuals in adobe pdf format.
3. Hebel’s Green Home Contest Submittal Form

The Green Home should be designed for construction in the South East United States, (AL, GA, FL, SC, NC, TN, LA, MS)

COMPETITION SCHEDULE

Competition Open: October 12, 2009

Competition Closes: May 15, 2010

Winners' Announced: Beginning on or about June 15, 2010
